Beyond the diamond
Meet Kai
I'm a hard worker and I'm dedicated to getting better every day. I take my role on the team seriously. I'm open to suggestions, eager to learn and coachable. As a player I'm gritty, fast, hard-working and aggressive — I get the job done by any means. My teammates count on me for leadership. Right now I'm working on getting faster, stronger and more consistent in my overall game, so I can perform at a high level every day.

A growth story
How I got here
I started on JV while I was trying to make varsity. I got called up and sat on the bench most of the year, but I kept working hard and eventually I started — in the outfield, which I don't normally play. It made me feel like I needed to work harder and get better, and when I got to start in the outfield I was happy to be on the field. I started training more consistently on my all-around game. I stopped complaining about things not going my way, and I asked my coach if I could train with him whenever he had time to work on my outfield game, because we needed an outfielder. I became a starter, and the next season I started in the middle infield.
In my words
- What I'm looking for in a college program
- “Somewhere I can develop and get better. A good program that has culture and believes in me.”
- After a bad game
- “I work on what I did badly the next day.”

Coaching younger players
I like coaching and being able to teach younger kids what I have learned. I coach 5th–8th graders in my travel ball program.
Family and friends
I like spending quality time with family and friends. I take my younger brothers to the park so they can get out of the house and have some fun.
In the classroom
Psychology or business will be one of my majors. Psychology is my favorite class because it's interesting to learn how the brain works. I got all A's in my second semester last year (spring 2026).
